I have a negative mark on my credit report saying I owe Verizon money for an account that I never had. I was informed about the account from a letter from a collections agency. What do I need to do in order to get the mark removed from my credit report? Also, in a phone conversation with Verizon, I stated I would be willing to take legal action. How do I get out of that?

My daughter's account was charged a $75 early termination fee for 2 phone lines on her account.
My daughter's account was charged a $75 early termination fee for 2 phone lines on her account. The upgrade date for each phone was 4/30/12. One of the lines was ported to another carrier on 4/15/12, and the other on 4/28/12. I feel $75 for each phone for early termination is an excessive fee. The first phone only had 15 days left, and the other one only had 2 days left. Can the fees for each phone be adjusted to a more reasonable charge?

I need an early upgrade!
I need an early upgrade! Verizon will not work with me so I am going to have to buy out of the contract. They don't want to keep customer's I guess. I got as far as the Loyalty Dept. who said that there in NO ONE that can approve an early upgrade! 10 month customer, broken phone (no insurance) and no refurbished 4g phones that they can offer us. So we are on our way to different company. They will not work with us! Are they this unreasonable with all their customers?

Low income discounts
Look into Lifeline and Link Up from Verizon, which offer discounts for those who qualify. Lifeline provides a monthly discount with amounts varying from state to state. Link Up pays for 50% of your activation fee and Verizon Wireless waives the other 50%. Individuals living on federally recognized tribal land can be eligible for other discounts which could reduce their plan to as low as $1 a month.
Ask for a senior rep
Sales representative usually cannot offer a better deal than the standard rates, but senior sales reps can. Ask to be transferred to a senior sales representative if you want to negotiate for a better deal. These people are able to work without the standard scripts and can do things like match competitors in your area.
Know your area's policies
Each region in Verizon's organization sets some of their own policies. This means that stores in different areas will be more likely to make certain concessions.
Customers in the northeast will have an easier time getting a free upgrade while they're still under contract.
Customers in the mid-west will be able to get more upgrades covered by warranties.
Use Droid As A Portable Hard Drive
You can mount the Droid as a portable hard drive for your computer by plugging it in with USB. On the phone, you need to pull down the notification menu, select the USB Storage option, and select "Mount."
Make Smart Contract Choices
Avoid 2 year contracts. The only benefit to a 2 yr contract is a $50 savings on your phone. Its not worth it. Take the $50 and get a 1 year then you can upgrade to a new phone every 10 months.
